Getting married in the hills of Bergamo
Encircled by the beautiful hills of Bergamo and surrounded by greenery, the villa is a perfect setting for exclusive, elegant and romantic weddings or for private ceremonies, with a fairy-tale atmosphere that is rich with history. There is nothing more wonderful than enjoying dinner in the midst of the large lawn in front of the Najade Fountain, just like in a "Midsummer Night's Dream", or eating in the cool rooms of the villa with the gorgeous view of the garden. The location, while situated at the very gates of Bergamo, is surrounded by nature and will immediately make you feel that you are in a cosy, relaxing and timeless place. The house, which does not have central heating, is available from May to October. Next to the entrance of the house there is a spacious lawn where you can comfortably park a large number of cars.
The ideal setting for a perfect wedding
The spacious garden, embellished by architectural elements such as the Temple of Silence, the Najade Fountain and the Obelisk, will be a perfect setting for the cutting of the wedding cake. On the ground floor of the villa, it is possible to use the main reception room to set up seated lunches and dinners for up to 140 people. Other five rooms, overlooking the garden, are ideal for hosting the aperitif. The stable is available for dancing: a soundproofed room of 95 sq.m where you can dance until late. The dehors, surraunded by a little wood, is very pleasant also for set up the open bar. The large garden, which is full of suggestive and secret corners, provides a wonderful backdrop for taking photographs of the newlyweds to immortalise their special day. The couple can use the catering services of their choice, or we would be happy to advise catering companies if this would be helpful.
Religious and civil ceremonies in Bergamo
For those wishing to get married in Sombreno, there is a wide choice: there are two churches for a religious ceremony, or you can choose the villa for a civil wedding. The beautiful Parish Church, a shining example of eighteenth-century architecture, is located right next to the villa. A little further away, at the top of the hill, stands the splendid seventeenth-century Sanctuary, which is rich in stucco and precious paintings. You can easily access the villa on foot from both churches. For those who prefer a legal civil wedding in this historic villa, you can choose your preferred style of Romantic, Vintage, Shabby, Eco Chic or other theme for your unforgettable ceremony, which can be celebrated either in the garden or in the reception rooms of the villa
